Christy Whaley

Christy is a published BMI singer-songwriter who writes and sings with a raw, honest, heartfelt passion. After being raised in the church with a music minister-songwriter father, she finds nothing more powerful than to return her gift to her Creator through gospel music. Christy writes and sings deeply personal songs about faith, life, love, and loss - her close connections to the military life experiences are reflected in her writing with a fierce patriotism that's been tested by fire and sacrifice, yet held strong by a stubborn love of her country.

Christy's work stands out as noted through comments such as these: "No one writes solo anymore, hard to believe it's a solo writing job," "This might be a female Kris Kristofferson," "She's the real deal, a star."

When she's not writing, you will find her exercising at the gym, working in her yard, sneaking chocolate, dreaming of a long-awaited trip to Europe, or at her "day job" as an ER/Trauma Nurse at a Level One Trauma Center which she loves for the chaos and adrenaline - where the worst is survived by a hefty sense of humor, the tragic is supported by an incredible team, and the miracles are humbling reminders of the fragility of life.

Christy is currently writing, recording, and diligently pursuing publishing opportunities for her work through music companies, worship publishers, and performing artists, while keeping the door open to a solo artist contract opportunity.
